OLW 131

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Just got home form the Great Big Sea concert, so finally have a moment for a quick post. This week's One Layer Wednesday Challenge was to make a card in the colors of the Irish flag - green, white and orange. It's difficult to see in this photo, but I embossed a line above the circles, and a double line below as a subtle border between the images and sentiment to make it look a little more "finished". Also, the spring moss looks a little washed out here. Wish I'd had more time to get a pic when it was still light out. This looks so much nicer in person. It seems to me most cards do to some degree. I guess I'm not destined to become a professional photographer!

I'm exhausted, so off to bed. Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by,
T

Supplies
PTI: white cs, spring moss ink, edger die, thank big favorites sentiment

  1. Oh this is gorgeous! I love how the scalloped edges echo the rounded bottoms of the circles! Thanks for playing along with this week's OLW! Just noticed your profile - I was born in Winnipeg and my son is in the Air Cadets, hoping to be able to work on getting his glider license at some point! Hope you had fun at the concert!

    1. Small world! Concert was great. We have some cadets from Gimli come out to the Winnipeg Gliding Club for a week each year to have a chance to do some soaring flights. They do a very quick licensing in gliders and don't get much opportunity to stay up for long flights. It's lots of fun, and we hope some of them will get interested in pursuing gliding in the future. It's a really pure form of flight, and is much cheaper than power, though we have many pilots that do both.
