FFC04

The latest Festive Friday Challenge is to make a card based on the trigger word "merry", so using my merry die to make a negative die cut was my jumping off point. This challenge seemed to be calling out to me for bright colors, so I used some primary colors, which is not my usual style, and added a festive string or two of Christmas lights. I adore this seldom used set, and the little bulbs look so realistic, especially if you add a coat of clear glass finish on top.

A side view gives a better look at the negative die cut and the glassy bulbs.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm on hiatus this week for a Spring Break ski trip, so see you soon,
T

  2. I love everything about this!! I am the same - I wanted to go bold and primary. I love that you put the glossy accents on the bulbs, and the negative die cut lets them really stand out. Thanks for playing with us again!
