FFC07 - bird

I guess I'm not much of a bird lover. I scoured my stash for a dove or something suitable for Festive Friday's challenge to make a holiday project using a bird, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I was so thrilled when I remembered I had this penguin, a flightless bird, but a bird nonetheless. I bought this before Christmas, but hadn't used it yet. Can you believe that!? He's too cute to be left collecting dust. I'm so happy he's finally getting some love. That's probably why he's bursting with joy.

Here is the inspiration for this project:

Thanks for stopping by,
T

  1. He's still a bird, and you're right...he's just too darned cute to ignore! Love it! :0)

  2. You're the first penguin!! But I love that you used him as your bird! I wish I'd thought of that... I totally struggled with this one (which is laughable, since I think up the challenges)! This is such a cute little scene, and I LOVE the snowflake background! Good to see you again, Tanis!

    1. I know! When I thought of it, I checked right away to see if anyone else had thought of a penguin, and was happy to see no one had beat me to it. Actually, I really wasn't thinking along those lines either until I spotted the die on my magnet board and the light bulb went on. Serendipity!

    1. It's kind of funny how your brain can get stuck on one train of thought, and it's hard to think "outside the box"!

  4. Oh, hahha.. I love the Penguin.

My "most notable" family Christmas card was a penguin..

This is yet another "Zoink, why didn't I think of that??!!"

    Love it, simply scrump-dilly-umptious!
